@matthew I've used Proxmox for real work. I'm mostly happy with it, though I wish there were better tooling for terraform and ansible. It's a tool that solves a specific problem. If the problem you have doesn't match, then you're going to have a bad time.As far as software quality goes, it's up there. I've seen far, far worse with enterprise support contracts attached.

@matthew proxmox will alert you via email, so make sure its MTA is configured so that email will reach you.To ID a failed drive, I've found the best way is to dd from it to /dev/null and watch the blinkenlights on the front. There is no way to light up a specific drive indicator light with IT mode flashed on an r620. You can also document which serial is in which bay if you like thinking ahead.Rebuild will involve some command line stuff, but that's easy to look up.

PSA for #Cue tests:- The reader will not update firmware if it doesn't think it's plugged in- The provided power brick may be insufficient to charge a reader with a completely flat battery; use a beefier USB-C power source. MacBook Pro charger worked for me- The reader will refuse to run tests that have expired- Cue support will tell you to charge for 3 hours before trying anything else, and it takes half an hour of arguing to get them to move past that#CovidIsNotOver #ZeroCovid #Covid

@gordoooo_z because WiFi channels overlap. The distance between channel 1 and channel 2 is less than the width of channel 1. The only way to fit three non overlapping channels in the 2.4 GHz allocation for 802.11b/g/n is to use channels 1, 6, and 11 like you see here.

@m0xee @gordoooo_z you're correct for the 5.8GHz band, but the diagram shown in OP's picture is 2.4GHz with 22MHz-wide channels. Each channel is separated from its neighbors by 5MHz, so each channel interferes with its two neighbors on each side.

@rubinjoni @catselbow @futurebird and it times out, and if it times out you have to start the whole thing over, including a full account unlock flow (I'm sorry, your password must contain a different number of special characters from any previous password, but single quotes aren't allowed).And it only runs in IE6 and requires a Bush era version of Java.And one (but only one) if the microphones used to record the audio has a loud hiss. They did not compensate for this in any way.

@futurebird @sewblue @justafrog when I get pulled over (very rarely, as I live in a city that literally does not enforce traffic laws), the result is usually either a warning or a minor bureaucratic hassle with no direct monetary consequences (forgot to put the tags on, old insurance card in the car, etc). I've been pulled over for 15 over the limit on the freeway in a state I didn't live in, didn't have a current insurance card, and just got a warning.I'm a cishet white male, though.
