@bradley_be a suggestion only: linksys ea8300 (a used one should cost you 40-50$ max).get rid of the factory firmware (awfully basic config options, agressive home-calling without off option), load openwrt and you get (almost) a dream router. i have three, because one of the three radio modules can be used for a 802.11s mesh to avoid cabling your lan.#homelan #network #it #openwrt

so, #russian language is the official language of 5 #un countries, all of them either #fascist states currently waging a barbaric, criminal war against other nations (#russia, #belarus) or latently supporting #fascism (#kazakhstan, #kyrgyzstan and #tadjikistan). moreover, the #russian language itself has been used as a tool in #russia's imperialistic propaganda and eventual occupation (#moldova, #georgia, #ukraine)...and today of all days, #un decides to «celebrate» this tool of #fascism.

i hame an impression that every dish the north american «cuisine» touches it gradually spoils with more and more sugar while replacing the original ingredients with trash or removing them altogether.starbucks' «macchiato»? facepalmamerican «sushi rolls» with potato chips?pastry devoid of the original taste but with sugar as the main ingredient?every souce is sugaryprobably the first thing i've started missing right after migrating to north america was decent, full tasting food.

@kravietz please, where do i read more about this this most intriguing #meshtastic thing you mention? is this the one?https://meshtastic.org/p.s. i'm a sucker for cory doctorow's ideas, and suddently meshtastic (just the word) reminded me instantly of «someone comes to town, someone leaves town», easily my favourite since all those years (thank you @pluralistic for that!)

@futurebird it is perfectly possible to have a tact generator _without_ a «crystal», which is also an error in naming, but even in the context of electronics, without a quartz oscillator. look up «one transistor oscillator», those were ubiquitous before quartz ones. it is thus perfectly possible to build a computer, albeit probably a much slower one that we're used to, without such a [not] «clock» = [not] «crystal» = «quartz oscillator».

@justine i often block people who i dislike and would not want to ever see on my social streams. usually they _are_ people i don't follow, and could never follow because they are either vocal or latent fascism supporters.interestigly, people i do follow i tend to only unfollow (sometimes mute) instead of blocking, but that is much more rare.
