A bit off topic but the use of the word attack as a synonym for criticize is on my last effing nerve. The corporate media started to use it about the same time they began substituting asking what people believe instead of what they think in interviews. Now when I read accusations like this I have no way of knowing if they were beaten to death or simply disagreed with. It has sown chaos in communication and we hates it. @MandyJane

One of the ways transitioning advocates chose to "get out in front of the law" was by circulating fraudulent copies of the Equality Act, replacing the protected characteristic sex with gender identity, to councils, organizations, and businesses all over the country. Then they demanded the right of access to women and girls changing rooms that they had given themselves in the fraudulent EA2010. Not a new con but certainly a reliable one if the target doesn't do their due diligence. It has taken over a year for women to contact businesses and councils with the correct list of protected characteristics and even so every week brings to light yet another agency or council that were targets of this fraud. @Kate55

I don't think it is a side issue. It is the heart of the matter. Is there a genuine transness? Are these mentally ill people whose advocates are demanding their delusions of gender be affirmed by medical and legal means? It is written in a way that is difficult to parse so that it will be difficult to parse. It is intended to read like a criticism, but what exactly is wrong with the effort to locate the legitimate trans subject, if there is one? Also too and beside I do not think Strangio's use of 'discursive' is doing the work they expected it to. @Nora
