Let's not make it a left-right thing! (Though I'm still a leftie in theory, the Canadian left has betrayed us.)

The dispute between the left and the right is over the positioning of the boot on women's neck. In other words, women are not players in the game, we are the puck. @LaylaAlexandrovna

She is not the perfect candidate. However, nobody else even comes close. “Lewis also promises to repeal the Liberals’ Bill C-16—legislation that added “gender expression” and “gender identity” as grounds for discrimination protection in the Criminal Code and the Canadian Human Rights Act—because she believes it could threaten people for using “incorrect speech,” a controversial reading of the bill popularized by University of Toronto professor Jordan Peterson. And she expresses concerns about legislation on the table to ban conversion therapy. Attempting to force someone to change their sexual orientation is “an atrocious thing,” she says. “I actually believe that children who are struggling with their sexuality should be left alone and given support to find out who they are.” But she says the bill, as drafted, doesn’t contain a clear definition and risks penalizing talk therapy or conversations with religious leaders.”https://www.macleans.ca/politics/leslyn-lewis-social-conservative-party-leadership-2020/@LaylaAlexandrovna

True but she is against gay marriage and abortion. From Wiki above: "Lewis' platform is socially conservative.[13] She opposes the Canadian government's proposed ban on conversion therapy, citing the importance of parental autonomy[14] and has stated she personally believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman, but would not roll back existing legislation allowing equal marriage in Canada. She has stated that she would like to make marijuana access more restrictive and that she thinks reactions to climate change are overblown.[15] She has publicly described herself as "pro-life, no hidden agenda" and as leader would have the Conservative Party move to ban sex-selective abortion and coerced abortion, increase government funding for crisis pregnancy centres (which counsel women against abortion), and she would end foreign aid funding for abortion.[16] Her candidacy has been endorsed by pro-life advocacy groups including the Campaign Life Coalition.[14]"@Karu

She has no intention to “roll-back existing legislation allowing equal marriage in Canada.” As for her pro-life position, I appreciate that she is being straightforward, unlike, Sheer. I’m with you in that I would have preferred a more pro-choice position. However, she is at least looking for a middle ground and is not running on a full out pro-life position. As much as some of the Conservatives would like to open this can of worms, I think the smarter ones will understand how much they would be relying on the good-will of women and will think better of it. Maybe they will enjoy a majority and will prefer keeping power and stay on for another term. At some point they will have to appeal to a broader group. Something Harper understood only too well.@LaylaAlexandrovna

@Karu @LaylaAlexandrovna She'll lose purely because of the restrictions on Marijuana. Trudeau got elected to legalize it, so being opposed to Canada's new cash cow is a bad idea.

Idk. I am betting Trudeau got a minority because of the trans nonsense. Many conservatives are incensed by the erosion of parental rights in being able to safe guard their children. I bet she could win if the whole party could get behind stopping the erasure of women, the anti-compelled speech, and anti-child abuse issues brought to our doors by the gutless liberals. Still waiting for the GBA of c-16!@anornymorse @LaylaAlexandrovna

@Karu @LaylaAlexandrovna All I know is I never saw stories of Transsexuals/Transvestites driving people to polling stations like I did with the marijuana communities in Canada. What you need to do is weaponize the TERF's correctly; sell them on uniting against the Man-front, while making an actual platform point out of ensuring that gay marriage (and other secured rights) aren't on the chopping block. This will require going around CBC/CTV/Global in order to not get you labeled another Jordan Peterson, but if done correctly, especially post-October when the sexual-deviancy-backlash begins for real, there's no reason why conservatives wouldn't be able to use the "guard our children" platform as a vehicle to success.
