@BrodieOnLinux Maybe Hyprland could get packaged since the snap would include the all the bleeding-edge packages it needs.

@BrodieOnLinux I'm having difficulty enjoying Lemmy. The post weighting sucks, I subscribed to the technology "subreddit" and that has taken up my entire feed, posts linger at the top forever, lots of communities that are on Reddit just don't exist, slow loading. Not to be a downer :grinmsn:

@BrodieOnLinux "Ensures the compositor always has the final say about placement, and the client may only provide hints"As long as this is true, I'm good. I personally love that apps don't choose their own position and always follow the opened centered on screen rule. Meanwhile, my XWayland apps open whenever they want, ignoring the centered on screen rule.

@Myles124 @BrodieOnLinux I can't even get VR working on KDE or Sway. It's been broken for me for at least a year now.

@MishaalRahman I checked this out yesterday and chuckled when it only showed Maryland and said "Don't see your state?".

@MishaalRahman That's nice. It annoys me that Reddit requires permission to all my photos just to save something. Of course, that wasn't an issue with Sync for Reddit, RIP.

@BrodieOnLinuxGithub. I love the Home page, it lets me see all the new releases of projects I follow.Decentralization is a feature of Gitlab, but it makes it more confusing. I can't interact with Gnome's Gitlab from Gitlab, I need to manually go to the Gnome Gitlab.

@Satiah @BrodieOnLinux That's a compositor issue, not directly tied to Wayland. The only thing that has changed on Wayland is that can't position themselves. A compositor would just need to add a feature to remember last window positions and sizes.

@BrodieOnLinux it’s amazing how much drama came out of a post that was basically “gnome wasted my time because its screen recordings are bad”.

@BrodieOnLinux the initial post was about him using Gnome’s built in screen recorder, which is poor quality due to patent issues and ensuring it works for low end devices. The accessibility stuff came a bit later.

@BrodieOnLinux This seems to be fine with DTMA’s intentions. The apps aren’t themed by default and the user is forewarned of issues.

@BrodieOnLinux I wrote a comment supporting Fedora Flatpaks, but YouTube silently hid it. Gotta love social media companies.

@BrodieOnLinux Oh god, Gnome let me have windows always spawn in the middle. I hate whenever I use an X11 app, MacOS, or Windows because the windows open in random locations.
