@soller I get why you jumped in, System76 sort of got dragged into it because of what you and others have said about GNOME in the past. I'm also quite critical of some the choices made by GNOME but I see nothing productive coming out of continuing the discussion.

@BrodieOnLinux the initial post was about him using Gnome’s built in screen recorder, which is poor quality due to patent issues and ensuring it works for low end devices. The accessibility stuff came a bit later.
