       @JF created a more in depth post about him using his quartz64 as a NAShttps://www.pine64.org/2022/06/03/my-diy-low-power-6-ssd-nas-based-on-the-quartz64-arm-board/#quartz64 #nas #pine64

       @safiuddinkhan Why an entire distro and not just a desktop environment that you can install on your favorite distro?

       @martijnbraam I do agree, at least as far as don't beg for it.If they develop it them self I see no problem, and I do get the desire... I hate the lack of long term support for Android phones.(And the none triviality of building newer roms due to lacking kernel / driver sources/mainlining)That said I have a (unhealthy?) obsession with running Debian on everything and don't care much for running Android on the pinephone

       @lupyuen Yes universe I get hint, maybe I should seriously look into https://gitea.io/en-us/ Especially since they are working on federation if I recall correctly

       @worldsendless @lupyuen I don't use CI/CD personally but skimming the docs seems to indicate that it currently doesn'tThere appears to be external way of doing ithttps://itnext.io/explore-gitea-drone-ci-cd-on-k3s-4a9e99f8b938

       @JF @PINE64 Congratulations on a presumably nice bit of kit.At work we "only" have the PPK 1 and it is quite nice and the specs for the PPK 2 are way better.And the PPK2 also has some simple open source tools for acquiring data if I recall correctly

       @JF @PINE64 The external "library" is great in that it seem to enable easy scripting of the measurements.I would assume that https://github.com/IRNAS/ppk2-api-pythonwould also run on any platform, as long as python can access a serial port on it.

       @z3ntu Quite impressive that 3D accel is supposed to work, graphics drivers always seems to be problematic.(And of course the modem if one plans to use it as a phone)

       @Gina 40's are more or less the same as the 30's, way too many hobby projects vs. time

       @martijnbraam That "heavily" depends on the kind of trip, light available and subjects encountered I suppose.

       @martijnbraam Also just maybe a wide and padded strap?I have a length adjustable one. Allows me to carry a Tamron 150-600 G2 with a camera attached quite comfortable on my back while I ride a bike.

       @danct12 There might be an internal buck converter that might have to run at a higher current draw than designed to keep the components powered...

       @danct12 Is there any (good) tiling DE on X11?And if a DE doesn't have tiling windows is it truly any good?(Yes I have a probably unhealthy obsession with tiling window management)

       @niclas @lupyuen The 68k also had a "lot" of "accumulator" registers compared to other CPUs of the time (also a "lot" of index registers) and even back then RAM access was costly

       @niclas @lupyuen Well at least you got to use the load and store operations A LOT.But yes I wouldn't have written nearly as much assembly if it had not been for my Amiga (and the demo scene).At uni I also had the pleasure of generating code for a (if I recall correctly) MIPS...3 operand math instructions are quite nice.It also executed the next instruction after a branch instruction for "free", and who doesn't like free instructions?It also had a quite ample supply of registers
