I've been going insane for 2 weeks because I kept hearing a beeping noise and thought there was a detector that needed a battery change or something. No. It was an ad for some erectile dysfunction doodad that keeps playing on whatever news network is on, and it beeps.

@ChasingWaterfalls It's neat! It's nail polish with little magnetic bits in it, and you can use magnets to gather/scatter the bits in various ways. Most commonly people just make it go in a diagonal line, which makes it look like those glass "cat eye" beads.There are other things you can do with it like a "velvet" effect, starburst patterns, etc. with different shapes of magnets and techniques. Random example I googled with the typical cat eye effect:

I went to the pharmacy today and there were about 6 or so employees puttering around. One woman at the counter was extremely normal looking but had a second line on her name tag proclaiming THEY/THEM.I wondered if this was a new thing at the pharmacy, so I glanced around at everyone's name tags. I'm not sure if it's been discussed here (it probably has and I missed it), but there was hype last week about Steve Crowder obtaining Nashville Tranifesto leaks. He released 3 pages and I don't quite know what to think of them. I think these are just random journal entries rather than "a manifesto." I don't know if there's actually a manifesto at this point.I also question the legitimacy of them because it seems... idk. Nashville mayor's office is trying to find the/a rat so that lends legitimacy to it.I understand that these are allegedly the writings of a crazy person, but it's really weird for a 27 year old white woman to rage specifically about little kids having khakis and nice backpacks and being white.And if it's all just shit like this, I don't see why there was a big stink about needing to keep it contained. This wacko rambling about cracker children is nothing compared to the "supreme gentleman" incel manifesto.

@ArtistBristol There's speculation that Clam Chowder has more and is trying to drag this out for as long as possible.Interestingly, a glance at twitter shows that the race angle is mostly being ignored in favor of saying the release of these scrawlings is transphobia or (somehow) homophobia. If normal people get a hold of this, I imagine it could result in a revival of pushback against "critical race theory" or at least serve as a talking point that marinating everyone's brains in the idea that white christians cause all the world's evils might create unwanted consequences. I don't imagine it would stoke race hatred since, well, the shooter was also white. But then again, people will use any excuse if they want to.I don't even know how far this will reach between the attempted showmanship of only showing a few pages, the story being old, the contents being uninteresting, the source of the leaks being a guy who sucks, and active censorship attempts. Apparently reddit has completely banned all discussion about this.
