       @ghostprototype this is so creepy. Probably more than anything companies will try to figure out how to make AI friends for people and then sell friendship back to us after we've disconnected from everyone around us through their policy and their products and their politics.

       @ghostprototype Someone got mad at me for saying that Ron's Gone Wrong (animated movie) made a good point about how reducing friendship to an algorithm was a bad idea. The movie wasn't even anti-technology, it was just critical of how it effects relationships and human interaction.Now look where we are. 🤦‍♀️

       @jmakesart that movie's plot sounds pretty accurate for the era we're moving intoand of course, just like porn, all these companies selling chatbot companions (as a subscription) can promote the idea that these AI relationships shouldn't be 'sTiGmATiZeD', they'll start getting a positive spin in media, and it'll just become an accepted norm
