@amolith I recently experienced my mail no longer being encrypted when stored on my mail server. After much debugging I found out the key had expired. This was just my personal key for mail, so I simply changed the expiration date :P

@chaihron @amolith I'm left handed and I use hjkl. I trained myself to use it by setting up my games for hjkl ;)

Making Gajim 1.3.2 run on Debian Buster was not easy, but after countless hours trying to make meson/ninja use my own builds of glib related libraries instead of the systems, I finally made it!Took quite a bit of environment variable tricks and building glib, gobject-introspection, pygobject, glib-networking.It is all @amolith fault for talking about Gajim. I don't know if I dare try out the new interface. If it requires an even never version of Glib I'm going to yell at some clouds.

@asbjorn They just ship with support for the URI scheme, right?I'm hoping XMPP will get the upper hand at some point, with more clients supporting OMEMO and Jingle A/V chat, but wherever we end up I'll be that guy from the xkcd comic strip using IRC forever ;)

@asbjorn It's a well established federated standard that has been around forever.I'm curious the other way around; why Matrix?

Hmm.. no subscribing to xorg mailing lists using -join/-subscribe addresses and the mailman webform requires recaptcha. I guess I'll have to just use the IRC channels like an angry old man :)

@AChillElephant @selea @codeberg No matter where you host your public git repo, you could have a mailing list for contributors to report bugs and submit patches. Git is designed to be used over e-mail after all.I sadly only know of freelists.org that provide a free service, it would be nice with more mailing list service providers for free software developers.

@Zeno Outlook servers seems to block everyone by default. So you should do a test sending to one of those, if you're blocked you will receive a notice on how to remove the block via a webform.I also used dnsbl.info to check which DNSBLs my IP was on.Servers like gmail use greylisting, which is just them giving an error on first try and then letting it through on second attempt, but it's not directly related to what they categorise as spam.

@amolith Wow, that's the nicest experience I've had reading news on a computer. I prefer a real newspaper, but still that's so much better than websites which overshadow the content they're supposed to serve,

Even though it is an archived project the uMatrix webextension now has a new version out. Version 1.4.4 fixes the denial of service bug.I wasn't getting the update through Firefox, but I installed the updated version from file.I'm glad I can put my thoughts on making a fork on hold :)#firefox #chrome #webextensions #privacyhttps://github.com/gorhill/uMatrix/releases/tag/1.4.4

@amolith It probably wipes the IndexedDB/WebSQL/LocalStorage used by localForage/Pleroma FE. You can hit Shift+F9 to inspect the storage.
