       @strypey Always had huge respect for #Chomsky and much of his geopolitical analysis, but IMHO he has had a fall from grace after #Russia invaded #ukraine .His world-view seem so often to center around 'Murica bad', so for him to say that "The UN Charter ... bars all the activities that the US carries out" - Really? ALL of it? This diminishes the worth of his actual good and important work

       @anderspuck I use @trunksapp and it has quote posts functionality.Staying as far away from techbro feudalist societies seem like a better idea by the day, both for my own sanity and for us to preserve democratic societies in a rules-based international order. The last one can be read somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but I really believe this to be true

       @kravietz I share your assessment of this.Ukrainian friends have explained it to me in a generational context; whereas the grandfather's generation had to pay bribes all the time ie to receive medical treatment at the hospital, the father's generation would encounter it regularly but not always, and today's generation meet it rarely and often just refuse and find it deeply unacceptable.

The F-16s have been said to be incoming soon, and saw chatter on birdsite of ukrainians hearing unusual planes.OTOH, news of RUAF pilot getting lit up by "new, powerful radar" recently would probably indicate Patriot..? But I guess radar could also feed info to F-16s
