@mr_penguin @FTL_Ian yep, Megalodon (a fork of the official mastodon app) is slow on both wifi and 5g and throws quite a few 404 errors.The thing acts like the server is hosted in Europe or asia with a 300+ms ping time. I ran a ping test and its not nearly that high.

Me thinks its time to make more coffee. On a totally inrelated note, my cell data plan will increase from 3 gigs to 3.5 gigs in april. Considering i rarely ever use even a gig on cellular that is plenty. I think about the only time i have ever used 3 gigs on cellular was during a week long conference where i refused to pay the extortion fee for the hotel wifi.

Managed to give myself a nice cut with the razor blade this morning. Not the first time its ever happened and wont be the last. Im just glad it doesnt happen often

Went to the gym and did like 11.3 miles on the bike. I had it set on resistance level 5. My legs feel akin to jelly now.

Last night i broke out the peppermint schnapps and had some peppermint hot chocolate. It was fantastic. I rarely drink, but once in a while its nice and last night struck me as perfect.

I ordered some coffee with #monero a few days ago. Wonder when it will show up. Also, it doesnt help that the mail can arrive anywhere from 12:30 to 6 PM and you really can never tell when you will actually get it.

So, i did a bad thing. I found out about Ready Player Two last night and stayed up all damn night to finish it. I had to make sure to let the kitties out of their kitty bedroom and feed them so i set the timer on my phone for 3 hours and placed it on the other side of the room so i would be forced to get the fuck up to turn it off. This was 7AM and i went right to sleep until 10. Not terrible. I bet if i hadnt set the timer it would have been noon before i got up.

The fed raised interest rates to stop the inflation caused by printing trillions during covid for stimulus checks and over a decade of near zero interest rates after the 2008 housing crash, which was caused by the policies made to help after the 2001 .com crash, which... Well, you get the picture. The only way to stop the boom and bust cycle is to stop accepting the dollar and any other government controlled fiat money which can be manipulated at eill to tax the average person via inflation. It doesnt matter if you use gold, silver or crypto as long as the government cant control the supply. These too big to fail institutions need to fail and that will hurt for a while. Businesses are like forests, keep the ones that would fail from failing is like letting tons of underbrush build up in a forest. Now when the enevitable forest fire does occur it will be hot enough to burn down the entire forest instead of just the understory leaving the big trees in tact.
