@sewblue @futurebird Probably because the poll uses check boxes, which allow multiple choices, instead of radio buttons, which allow only one answer. Begs the question as to how you might come to pick more than one, but we are talking about people (shakes head mournfully) here.

@trachelipus @futurebird Our two are VERY interested in what's on our plates. So I reach it down to them to sniff so they can recoil in horror. "You actually *eat* that stuff?!" They love this routine.

There used to be a gate here, but now there's just a sawn off metal post in the middle of the woods. The local "not art" graffitist has been by to pass judgment. A 10 year old (or somebody's inner 10 year old) has added further commentary.Well, *I* laughed! 😂

@futurebird I got an "apartment sized" dishwasher and I love it. It holds almost as much as a full size one and uses so much less space. Took the door off an under counter cabinet and it slid right in. They should be offering this for more appliances!

@futurebird We used to get candy canes so we could hang them on the Christmas tree. Very pretty! And they were made of sugar - a big plus for us kids!

@futurebird I took this video back in April with you in mind … and then proceeded to forget about it! Fortunately, I just came across it when tidying up last year's photos. @futurebird No, it's amongst blueberry bushes and grasses. There's a circle about 2 feet across of excavated clay soil dotted with their tunnel entrances. I've never seen sticks or pine needles anywhere near it.

@futurebird I see two types of big nests in this area: a large, flat circle like this one, and tall cones with rounded tops. The biggest cones I've seen are about 18 inches tall.

@futurebird We recently got new living room chairs, arriving 2 days before Christmas. Kona was scared of them at first, but has progressed to deeply distrustful. Maybe someday she'll sit in the living room with us again.

@futurebird They took advantage of the rampant fear after 9/11. I knew they would, and then they did and contacting my senators and Representative apparently was not enough to stop it.
