@flexion There is something surreal in this big-ass architectural diagram to power a tamagotchi

I'm giving up on so-called smart TVs, if anyone fancies me a recommendation of an android-based set top box or HDMI stick that **can run LineageOS** I'd be eternally grateful to them.

@piggo @yngmar It works in a mesh fashion, everything syncs with everything. Having an always-on node is a common pattern, although not a necessity, so two other devices can sync even if they are not on at the same time.

@natalie Pretty based and you could even get rid of the bulky 2.5" case for space saving

Forgive me, mother, for I have sinned: I have used, and continue to use, 60W and 100W PD cables interchangeably.I do not know, in fact, which is which anymore.

@xerz The box probably was labeled. The cables? None I can see :blobcatReachSob:

I'm basically looking for a desktop environment that is TV friendly (big text, comfortably navigable with arrow keys + enter). Most people seem to use Kodi nowadays but my experience with it has not been great.

The older I get, the stronger I believe that the consequences of not repeating yourself are quite often less severe than those of the complexity introduced to avoid repeating yourself.

Been giving Dune3D some tentative tries lately and I'm finding it quite enjoyable. It really is Solvespace plus chamfer/fillet and QoL improvements.

If I slap an nvme drive on a PCIe adapter, what are the odds I get an old-ish motherboard (Intel 4th gen?) to boot from it?

Gonna drop the unpopular opinion, I do like the idea of something like MS Recall. Given that something is customizable, open source, and 100% local.I do rely on web browser history a lot. My browser history goes earlier than 2010. It is super useful to find websites, manuals, whatever just form a keyword I happen to remember.Being able to do this for _anything_ that showed up on my screen? I think that's insanely powerful.Would I trust big tech, or any private company to do it? Heck no. But the concept is great I believe.

Dumb shell question: Is there a magic readline/bash/shell shortcut that allows me to "stash & clear" a command I've partially written so I can run something else, and then continue later?E.g. when I'm writing a lengthy `cp` command and midway I realize I have yet to mkdir the dest dir.
