       had the idea that i will get a pile of cheap usb to sata adapters and start using sata ssds instead of traditional usb flash drives. kinda crazy but seems like it should be more flexible/faster. then i compared prices for usb flash vs sata ssds and yeah this is a good idea, $25 for cheap ssd vs $35 for usb in the 512gb range, and even for a good ssd it's like $30

       @aliceif@mkultra.x27.one i'll have to check the prices for the usb adapters, the sata ones are $2 on aliex and work fine, if nvme ones are comparable price then that's a good point i should go that way

       @natalie@nya.social oh they're not that cheap sadly I thinkBut they are quite portable and the speed is nuts (old 16gb optate Module in an enclosure I grabbed in a sale without even owning unused nvmes)
