@kelbot the Turris Omnia is very nice, a maybe less expensive but more DIY approach could be one of these:https://www.pcengines.ch/apu3c4.htmWith maybe https://opnsense.org installed.

@nolan That's currently the main way I buy music. And rip them to FLAC straight away. The price is not much different from buying the digital versions, which are mostly lossy formats. I've been looking for sources for buying FLAC, but haven't found any place that will sell them at a comparable price. For "discovery" it's mostly YouTube and some radios.

@martin 5 (9 if you count the Ethernet over Powerline adapters). And I have another router and two access points waiting to be brought online.

@Gina it's that SanDisk branded square right in the middle of the main board, next (and similar) to the WiFi card. You might even find an upgrade that will fit.

@Gina I only "like" woodworking, but if the wood grain goes all the way to the edge (if it's a single board) I'm pretty sure that needs to be turned from a board with the total thickness. I think one would need a lathe with lots of working space.Otherwise you could "fake it" by gluing a thicker piece around the edge and sanding/sculpting down, but that would be a lot of work, and probably less perfectly symmetric.

@woozong @alcinnz @eqe I was going to do the same suggestions.I use pass (passwordstore.org) and it works great with a GPG key on a Yubikey across several Linux computers and an Android phone (with got as a backend). But I'm setting up bitwarden for my partner :-)

@ColinTheMathmo I'm pretty sure the first one will *not* work as it seems to be a passive adapter (it's simply wires and only good for keyboards/mice that actually speak both protocols). The second one looks like it could work, it's very similar to what one sees for example on:https://www.clickykeyboards.com/product-category/ps2-keyboard-to-usb-adapter-converters/Which given the context of the webpage is almost guaranteed to do what you are looking for.

@elb reminds me of my history with NSLU2 devices, at some point the Debian installer would no longer run on its 32MB of RAM and you had to download a tar ball of the base system: https://www.cyrius.com/debian/nslu2/install/

@info_activism I understand how this might be true, but this is another one of several articles I've seen attempting to explain how the Google engineer that did the claims was "simply fooled" by the quality of the AI model.I wouldn't be surprised to see Google funding or pulling some strings to help people publish all these articles along the same lines, to "calm down" the public.

@adam that would be amazing. When at an event I want to report on publicly just switch the camera to no-faces mode :-)

@icedquinn if it matters, I had good experience with their support, a buckle broke, and they sent me a replacement without any fuss.

@gsuberland my view on this is that the impact of failed prints is likely largely offset by the repairs one is now able to do to prolong the life of existing objects. And by solving problems in ways that stops people from buying more not-quite-right solutions to a problem.I love to see use cases where people use 3D printed parts in multi-material projects, where they enable the use of more sustainable materials as part of the solution: wood, metal, etc.
