I talked before about how one phone messes up its bluetooth audio when it's also sharing its internet connection to its WiFi.So now I listened to my audio on the other phone, the one using that WiFi.As expected, this did not cause the same interference, so far so good. But then I put my phone in my pocket, and audio started cutting out again.Turns out it was my wallet. If I stack the phone on top of the wallet instead of putting it behind the wallet, if I don't have them overlap in my pocket, the bluetooth audio runs just fine.

@rmsilva Not intentionally, but maybe a stack of travel cards and edit cards with RFID unintentionally block the bluetooth signal.
