@LexTenebris That's simply being disingenuous and obviously isn't Jason's intent. What it makes you think about doesn't matter, and nobody's forcing you to play the game that has that text. You don't get to dictate what a designer includes in their game any more than somebody else gets to dictate what you think.

@Rasp I'm not an electrical engineer and my first thought is, "That power cord seems way too thin for all of those outlets".

@CliffWade @novalauncher Pixel 7 with @novalauncher and stock icons, with the Transparent Clock and Weather widget. Wallpaper I generated with Midjourney. And yeah I have a lot of folders.

@CliffWade I had the opposite experience, especially compared to Google Music. Google Music was great, it allowed me to mix up my uploaded music (tend of thousands of tracks, some of which isn't on any platform and likely never will be) with suggested music. I stuck with YouTube Music after the change for a few years, and then I noticed it wasn't really serving up much they was new. It was playing a lot of the same stuff over and over.

@CliffWade I switched to Deezer and it did a good job of learning my preferences. I like the discovery and auto playlists. But it doesn't have as big of a catalog, some music I like is missing. And it's a French service, so it mixes in a dose of non-English music (some is good, some is not my thing).

@CliffWade Deezer is starting to show some warts. It's hard when musical taste is truly "eclectic". I like specific things of certain styles or bands without liking them in general, but others I like practically everything they do. And my range is really wide.

@CliffWade I think what's missing from YouTube Music is what Deezer calls Flow. Flow mixes in favorites with different songs that it thinks matches your preferences. If the Supermix in Youtube Music does that, it doesn't mix stuff in often.

@CliffWade@allthingstech.social @jcrabapple I admit I may be an edge case. Part of my "eclecticness" is I often only have the vaguest notion of what I want to listen to at any given time. I grew up listening to the radio. But when I start playing something like the Supermix or any of the daily mixes, I don't want to necessarily only hear my favorites or stuff from my collection. Even when I start a radio mix from a particular band, YTM will eventually revert to mixing in the same old stuff.

@frederic @obsidian @nicole I've been slowly dipping my toes in. I want to see if I can replace Notion with it. I like Notion a lot, but the portability of everything being in Markdown appeals to me.

@Wolven This is good advice, only insofar as applying to people who *can* just switch to Firefox. If you can't switch away from Google products, just turn it off and move on.

@lowqualityfacts You joke, but especially in Ingress it is not uncommon to have portals situated off of slopes, drop offs. I submitted this one and they put it in the wrong place. I submitted fixes and they just never did. You can't get to it without going partway down a slope.

@futurebird It's better they found it than the police. I had a motor scooter stolen from outside a club about {mumbles] years ago that the police recovered. They wanted more to get it out of impound than it was worth. They said I could sue in small claims to recover the impound fee. I told them to keep it and signed the pink slip over to the PD.
