@twee usually you put the features artist in the title tag, instead of the artist tag.Not sure if there is a technology solutions to this one.

@twee I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but I just use directories in ~/Music like so: ~/Music/Artist/Album. I use cmus to listen to music, so that lets me sort in other, more interesting ways.

@twee By default, cmus filters by artist, then drills down by album. When I'm listening to music, I typically either listen to an entire album, or shuffle my whole library. I don't do much sorting.

@cwebber It doesn't look at all like TNG era trek, either. Is it Picard in the J.J. timeline?@FiXato That would be pretty rad! I hope that's the case!

The world's first solar road has turned out to be a colossal failure that's falling apart and doesn't generate enough energy, according to a report.https://www.businessinsider.com/worlds-first-solar-road-turned-out-colossal-failure-2019-8/?r=US&IR=THmm... so it's a failure because it's not profitable, not producing as much energy as was expected, and it's not being repaired fast enough.Tell me, what roads do you know of that's profitable? That producesanyenergy? That isn't crumbling?

@jordyd @Dee You never hear them switch them back, so I have to assume each time they reverse polarity, they're just swapping back and forth, hoping that something will happen. It's the power cycle of Star Fleet.

Trying to set up a streaming device using #OpenBSD because it's what I know how to manage disks on, but ffmpeg is crushing my cpus. Can I make this more efficient without throwing 20+ cores at it?

@velartrill Every time someone compares something to lisp, it's as "an inferior form of lisp", or "like lisp but less advanced." Makes me want to spend some time and see what it's all about.

@sir @stevefoerster This is nuts. We've been finding favicons just fine for, what, 25 years now? How on Earth does this seem acceptable? It seems more and more like the only decent browser is lynx. While I'm in this thread, does anyone have a good alternative to DDG for search engines? I've yet to find a searx instance that isn't abysmal, but I'm more than happy to try them.
