       anyone know how to get mpd to ignore featured artists when building its database ?eg I got "jerry douglas feat mumford & sons", can i have that just show up as "jerry douglas" ?#mpd

       @twee usually you put the features artist in the title tag, instead of the artist tag.Not sure if there is a technology solutions to this one.

       @rdh thats what id do, except i use beets to sort my library and it redoes that stuffi havent looked into configuring beets much, maybe theres something therethanks

       @twee This gets complicated quickly if you want to rely on simple artist tags (e.g. how do you deal with Artist A & Artist B?).I'm currently in the process of writing my own music daemon that takes advantage of the unambiguous MusicBrainz metadata identifiers in the files specifically to solve this problem well 😅
