Well, it's wednesday, the hump day, the time for the bi-weekly donations to the NA show. Or at least it's a good excuse to promote a juicy $80,08 donation, innit. 😉 https://twitter.com/catturd2/status/1727054981503545551?s=61&t=G4I88ZiWbwB9IxWvadBzAg

@Draven She may have 'evolved' heels but her ankles don't look too healthy.Other than that she's quite cute but looks like she's only going to be playing pizzicato with that cello.Lighting is a bit inconsistent and unnatural as well, but I guess most people won't even notice that.Anyway, I still prefer the old school way, taking a cute model in the woods and using an actual camera. It would be much healthier, too, compared to just sitting in the front of a computer typing prompts in an app.

@carolen @Mummabear Thanks to the current route, curvature and strength of the jet stream over mainland Europe since early October, November has been colder than usual on the Northern side of it and warmer in the Southern Europe. The jet stream has been slithering on slowly across the continent from the Atlantic over Brittany along the Alps and below the Baltics to Russia, thus this chillier than usual weather will apparently carry on for two more weeks on the Northern side of the stream. 🥶

@zonz Despicable. 😒 Never trust the bureaucrats. Sounds like they have little respect for the body of the deceased, or the donating family member.Although perhaps one should also think twice before donating a loved one's body to 'science'.In today's clown world 'research' is only done for money, apparently.Kinda like:🎶 Zika Zika Zika Zika Zika -where's the money 🎶

@johntrain Nope.I've been actively avoiding them for a few years now.Although that is often easier said than done unless you prepare and cook everything you eat by yourself at home, and only use raw unprocessed & unpackaged ingredients. Also eating out means your meal has most likely been cooked in some cheap seed oil.OTOH it does make my food choices and shopping easier, albeit often pricier, too, and my cooking becomes much simpler. I can skip several things but still enjoy tasty meals.

@melodiousowls @johntrain Even the cheaper bottles of olive oil or avocado oil typically sold in the mainstream stores and supermarkets in bulk can have a lot of other cheaper seed oils mixed in them.Unless you're a olive oil connoisseur it's not always easy to tell what's blended and what's just cheaper, lower quality olive oil.The good stuff, the real stuff is never cheap, and unfortunately you cannot always trust what's in the label of the cheaper variants. It's all about money, as usual.

@melodiousowls @johntrain Yup. I believe even some Spanish companies have been involved in recent olive oil scandals fairly recently. Sounds like it's a common practise in the mainstream these days.I recently found an online store of a small company that are selling their own brand oil harvested only from the olive trees on the island of Crete, and the oil is being bottled on the island and then sent straight to the buyers via their distribution centre. You actually get what's in the label.

@RoboftheVolcano Well, he does have a valid point, even though coming from him it sounds like a kettle calling a pot black or whatever.I heard he is intending to appoint himself to yet another term as a president. No election necessary, obviously, or at least the result of one is already clear.I don't like him and the audacity, I don't like what he's doing in Ukraine or what his propaganda machine is doing all over the continent but at least he's right about that one thing.

Interesting. Good for the Dutch, and I hope others will follow suit (Poland & Hungary kinda do already, and Finland closed their Eastern border again at least until next year), but I don't think this will last for too long. This may trigger other nations to try the same, at least those with currently un-woke governments, which will surely result to the Star Fleet Command banning this activity soon enough.Pay no attention to the invasion. Keep ze borders open! Obay!https://twitter.com/evavlaar/status/1735616224875159635?s=61&t=weXgCpQdMdTMOdD8Kv2zXg

@Zennblack Oh well, no worries, it was just taxpayers' money, anyway. Empress Ursula & co. who managed the deal were not elected by anyone, so no one will be accountable, either. 🙄 Ho hum, just business as usual. 🤡 Since it looks like no 3rd country doesn't want them either, I for one am more interested in how they're going to dispose them, as they're potentially a biohazard that shouldn't be just dumped in the sewer. At least it doesn't sound like a good idea.

@Koppa The only thing it 'proves' is that WEF is full of wild flowers eaten by a cow yesterday. It's very unfortunate that some people will still lap it all up.

@carolen Brits and Germans, for example. On the other end of the spectrum we have the Swedes who are avoiding cash as much as possible, trying to become a cashless society.I've become somewhat lazy and only rarely carry cash. S'pose I should fix that before they start force-feeding the CBDC.The major downside of cash these days are the young, clueless cashiers seemingly incapable of doing simple math. 🙄 Let alone 'reverse count' the right change on the fly, which is simpler and much faster.

@carolen @CSB @Mummabear Yet people have survived with cash, metal or paper, a few millennia already, through a couple of pandemics, plagues, bacteria, viruses, and such. If cash was so dangerous the humankind would have perished a long time ago.CBDC sounds more dangerous to our health and prosperity than plain old cash.Hence the anti-cash propaganda during the worst coof hype. Common sense will help a lot.

@Synclair Some servers apparently did freak out.I was in Ireland at the time and I remember trying to make a phone call across the pond to a friend in Maine right after midnight on that date, and to my surprise the answer I heard was "911, how can I help you?"I was calling the right number for sure, but apparently the cellular call centre went haywire at midnight.I tried to quickly explain what happened but I guess the dispatcher still thought I was just some dumb kid making a prank call.

Happy Epiphany, producers! It's the last day of Christmas season. The long and tedious march through the rest of this miserable winter begins next week. Looks like Easter is early this year, so hopefully it won't feel like an endless march towards spring, either.Anyway, January is the carnivore month, so has anyone taken on that?I thought I might start on Monday, and maybe extend it a bit further than just until the end of the month.I don't do it as a lifestyle but I do it once in a while.

@PrincessCityPearl Same here with the lights and Christmas decorations. Might stretch it until tomorrow night. As for carnivore, if you've done it less than a month or two after years of SAD then yes, it's likely just a carb hangover which will pass. Or maybe you ought to use some more salt or minerals. Or more variety with your spices besides salt. Not that doing ketovore with some cruciferous vegs and onions would be too bad, either. That's what I've done lately, apart from the few holidays.
