What's that? There are two connections in one side and four in the other, two connections are missing or they serve for something else, maybe signalling. It's not Ethernet since it has eight wires.

I asked the company that made it for the manual via their support email. It's almost midnight there, I guess they might only reply to me on Monday.

@semi2021 Sorry but…125346?I mean, sure, it was a 1234 image to which a new column was added, but anyone can fix this ordering quite easily using MS Paint, or SketchBook if they are on mobile, or Photopea for anything else. :ChikaNUUUU:

You can mashup Michiko to Hacchin's finale song with Já Sei Namorar quite well. Both are 145 BPM-ish and Brazilian.

It's weird how a smartphone is replacing my wallet: I have almost all my documents in digital form with two passwords to access. I don't use a credit card, I do all my payments using my phone using a system that's so populated that everyone and their dog accepts. Nowadays a phone can replace house and car keys, add a Home Assistant integration for good measure. Using paper money makes me think I'm a criminal trying to hide my tracks.

Why am I commenting on that? Because I saw that @TechConnectify uses credit cards. It seems kinda retro nowadays. Well, it fits him, sure. That being said there are a lot of things here that accept something akin to "a chip on your car". Like, a lot: make an account with them, they stick a chip on your car and then don't worry about having to stop to pay parking on most malls in my city nor for toll roads. I don't use it, I don't really need it, but I notice a lot of people do.

Is it weird that many EV charging stations here are located on gas stations? You get the best both worlds: you charge your car and get all protections and conveniences of a gas station. But since here EVs are quite rare I never ever saw someone using those chargers and it would not be a surprise if those are not functional.

@aral @starlabs @tuxedocomputers @system76 If I were to switch to Linux it would be better for me to switch jobs first: there aren't many structural engineering software for Linux. I could dual boot, but I tried it already, it was a hassle for me. In the end I ended up stopping using the Linux partition, removing it and extending the Windows partition. Time to learn programming.

@dagnymol @nora @Wolven I notice it as people trying to dismiss the technology by ignoring its strengths and focusing on their weak points, even if there are people working on those. Why? I guess a lot of people are genuinely trying to warn people of them being badly used (which is something really common!) but I think a lot of people are afraid of them stealing jobs. As a hobbyist programmer, I love to see automation, yesterday I even took some of my free time to automate a boring part of my job. Thus I'm biased to like those things, I'm not afraid of it, I guess many people are.

@frameworkcomputer I'm looking for a new laptop (few hours ago I was looking at some options) and, while the Framework equivalent to what I was looking is more expansive, it's worth it, as it's repairable (so, actually it's not "equivalent", it's better). Sadly I can't buy it since "We haven’t opened ordering in your region yet, but we’re looking forward to getting there!" shows to me. I hope the best to you. Good luck.

@nixCraft Reminds me of when I was annoyed at people posting manga as PNG files compressed in ZIP files (cbz format) or RAR files (cbr format) - why people are taking compressed files and compressing them further? So I took a manga and compressed it in many different ways. Sure, it wasn't a comprehensive research, I just took a single Oyasumi Punpun volume, but I found the results interesting. This results table is in Portuguese but the important thing is the numbers: 7-Zip wins for lossy and lossless, but, weirdly, if you use BMP to store images, as it's uncompressed, it allows 7-Zip to work better and results on a smaller file than if you used PNG! It was 2017, lossless AVIF nor JPEG XL were a thing, and WebP hadn't that much support.

@shironeko Sure! People just use the tools they are used to. Weirdly, if you check my table, if you use zip as if you were using tar (by first archiving the files using a zip without compression then compressing it after) it outperformed RAR. Again, I guess the small sample size was to blame, but it was weird.

@stux Question: about countries age verification laws, could those lead to more scams here? Or could servers be forced to comply with those?
