@maiyannah That's going to be totally private, secure and won't eat the fuck out of your battery. Speaking of arsehole companies obsessed with Bluetooth, was hearing about how having a bluetooth thingy plugged into a Tesla makes it vulnerable to doing basically whatever the shit you like to it, including killing the power while it's driving. Also sounds like those bluetooth/fingerprint padlocks basically just broadcast all you need to get them open remotely without any serious effort. Smart idea from totally smart companies.

So Shenmue 3, that game where they turned up at E3 fuck knows how many years back to announce a kickstarter campaign, has suddenly become an Epic store exclusive. No surprises at how pissed a lot of the backers are about that.

@maiyannah @mangeurdenuage @cutscenes@shitposter.club @gibiz To add some fun information to this, it's basically one of those crap re-imagining mods to make it look like modern "retro" shite games, though which is part of why the Doom modding community hates the developer, the other half being that it's basically a collection of plagiarised mods (not that Bethesda cares about this) mushed together and fiddled with. Alegedly the tipping point is either that it was bundled as standalone with copies of Freedoom and GZDoom to run it through, or that it included (or appeared to include) modified Doom assets. The former a bit puzzling to say the least, and the latter is basically the death of most of the most popular mods if they get pushy with that. Of course it's great chunks of the community being clapping seals because it happened to a persona non grata, thanking Bethesda/Zenimax for policing their community in a way they like because it's not a mod or developer they care for.
