       @maiyannah The other month a friend was telling me he'd found he'd still been paying for a domain name he hadn't used for going on eight years after he migrated his stuff to a different site of his.

       @purplehippo Id migrated away from this registrar a long time ago but they dinged me still for two domains I no longer use.  Not going to financially ruin me or anything, but annoying, and they couldn't've done it if they hadn't sneakily set up the purchase as a pre-authorization and not an actual purchase.  So the lesson to learn from this is to periodically check your pre-authorised "purchase agreements" on Paypal and carpet bomb anything that doesn't need to be in there, or you will get burned.  In this case there was nothing to distinguish the purchases from a regular purchase, which is super sneaky and pretty skeevy on the part of both the company and Paypal.
