4th day on Mastodon. And a new discovery! I tapped my icon and lo and behold, I saw my Mastodon page become like a Twitter page.So far I've been tooting without knowing who I'm following and who's following me. Now I know where I stand: A newbie, a beginner, and a baby too. But it's good to see & learn something more as the days go by.

@Rounaknayak Call it Uber Harassment.Every day scores of its clients are subject to the frustrating ordeal of sorting out mythical waiting time, surcharges, surge pricing, driver abuse, car abuse and whatnot. Uber Supporr gets perverse pleasure out of all this. No wonder London banned Uber.

@h_tejas It was when I started tweeting proDalit, proAmbedkar tweets on Twitter that I found myself 'restricted'. Tweets empowering the Dalits there (#CasteistMedia) and gathering traction from Dalit supporters led to me being restricted by Twitter. I don't think India will ever progress. Untouchability and hatred of Dalits is ingrained in the 'Hindu/tva' mind. None of my caste friends liked/RTed my proDalit tweets. So what do you expect from 'modern' (modi'ern) India. #Regressive

There is one failed comedian named Cyrus Broacha. Remember how he uaed to poke fun at Rahul Gandhi. He used to call him Pappu. It was part of the Pappu Conspiracy of the Saffron Brigade. This fellow Broacha would be lucky to escape divine judgement if he only got an incurable and painful autoimmune disease. This rascal got his kicks by vilifying Rahul Gandhi in every possible manner.Certainly he had the backing of the BJP. Would a Parsi descend to such depths? A mongrel Parsi would.

@SilkyNsa Is there a DM option on this toot? I want to discuss this issue privately with you. Because I find one person on Mastodon objecting to some of my tweets. Why? They cut very deeply. Suppose I say I support Periyar and Ambedkar, immediately this 'person' raises his/her hackles. They will not allow Brahminism to be identified as the chief cause of India's misery today. #Unnao clearly shows that!

@SilkyNsa Thanks for responding. I didn't even know you are a woman. We will agree to our having different views on certain issues. But you need to study Indian social issues deeply. Politics is just the offshoot of a deeper social malaise. Why were SCs/STs given reservations when the Indian republic was formed? Untouchability exists even today. Go to a village, first question asked is: Which caste are you? In the cities, domestic servants decide houses to work in...by caste!

@SilkyNsa I have nothing against Brahmins as individuals, but Brahminical Hinduism is pernicious. I have Brahmin friends. And I have SCs who dislike me. The point is about the 'ism'. Every ism is bad, whether Brahminism, casteism, fascism, communism, socialism, fascism, communalism, capitalism. It is this hateful reactionary thought that is in every ism. I am purer than you. Or down with establishment! Or down with the bourgeoisie. Etc.There is no humanity or goodness there.

This is my 6th day on Mastodon. Just wondering whether I will survive here long. I am thankful that I got out of Twitter.Twitteritis can be a terrible addiction.But Mastodon seems to be a wilderness. Not many people here.Seems to be the outer confines of cyberspace. I prefer to be on the Internet Highway where the crowds are.I don't care for the lonely countryside Prefer the big cities.M. is just another lonely club.For loners and the like.And I am allergic to cats.
