@aral this became a very dangerous precedent: social media platforms don’t need to be “profitable” in the common sense, as long as you can wield them as your personal megaphone and be successful in “influencing” critical mass. They don’t need to make shareholders happy anymore, billionaires can follow their own personal agendas (ofc they were before too, but they are more encouraged to do so now)

@aral most of those people don’t reply to replies which drives me furious. They don’t look for meaningful conversation, they just want to be heard. This happens with some progressive people too. Some of them I unfollow, some of them I (sadly) just stick with
