Luckily, our debt has remained stable for the last decade, demonstrating that affordable healthcare and education are achievable without raising debt.The question is more whether Administrations are focused on what is best for their citizens or have other objectives.But you just keep your hands in front of your eyes so you don't have to see that there are hundreds of millions of people better off than many in the USA, and they live longer too.@monarchist

This is the weirdest thing that I have read this month.I agree with Lea, you should go out in the fresh air and talk to some normal people. Some achievements of Unions that you also benefit from: higher wages, better benefits, safer workplaces, protection against unfair treatment, minimum wage, the 40-hour workweek, child labor laws, and various worker protections.In several countries, unions achieve this by strategically working with management.@praustrian @leamusi#Unions #Success

I think that you have missed part of the news.People who have been in the USA for decades have been picked up by ICE, people with valid Green Cards, even US citizens.Apparently, you live in a comfortable cocoon, but what happens outside that cocoon will affect you as well. It will affect friends/colleagues. It will affect the availability and pricing of food in your stores. It will affect road repairs and renovations.The real problem for the USA is that it needs immigrants.@monarchist

The USA doesn't have enough people to do the jobs that need to be done, and that keeps infrastructure crumbling, kids' education to a minimum, farmers not realising their potential, health care scrambling for hands and manufacturing in the USA too expensive.We will soon find out what it means to lose all those working hands in America.@monarchist

And how would this bring factories back to America?You want Americans to fill the jobs that immigrants are no longer doing because they were deported, and you want the salaries of these Americans to be so low that those factories can compete with factories in other countries?The current policies of America contradict each other. You can't bring factories back to America and kick out the workers that those factories need.@monarchist

@ljrk @davidho If we hear the corroborated testimonies of Palestinian prisoners, soldiers and guards, I have the impression that a lot of sexual deviant acts, including rapes, are more prevalent in Israel than in other countries.Israel is one of the countries where sexual deviant behaviour by soldiers and guards is not frowned upon, let alone being punished, by seniors.
