@mhjohnson Yeah and there are these recent claims about modern encryption (e.g. TLS) going off the rails as the GPUs get more capable, among other things.Can't see how a developer needs to be responsible.

Is modern AI really AI? I think not. It's a label. If we get real machine intelligence it could use what we have today as a tool, but it's not AI per seModern AI is a breakthrough tho' in terms of:(a) organizing data vs traditional tree/relational sort indexes(b) data compressionIt totally smokes in data compression- amazing. A 7 gb dataset (model) and you get just incredible versatility/search vs a lesser effective 'search' on traditional multi-terabyte datasetsStop calling it AI.

@obihahn I like the idea of installing i-beams as benches. Cheap and you can reuse materials for other things when you're 'done' with the bench.Of course you no doubt know they only add those armrests to keep the homeless from doing sleep-overs!

@Peaceandprosperity That's not mine. I have one just like it- it needs cleaning of all the moving joints that meet+lightweight oiling every few years. That keeps it sound. They are well built but tend to get filty over a 20 year period! (understandable)Funny - I got mine I went into a record store in Cotati and the guy said it wasn't for sale. I was a kid then... I said well there must be a price what would you take for it? He said $500.Came back the next day with $500. He was shocked!
