       These really are mechanical masterpieces.... when they work!  $3200 and it's not selling ==> that is historically a rational price for this turntableYou can pick any desirable vertical... or any vintage hifi equipment you+others like for example... but I track Thorens TD-124 and TD-224 and TD-124 prices as an indicator of consumer spending.        @Peaceandprosperity That's not mine.  I have one just like it- it needs cleaning of all the moving joints that meet+lightweight oiling every few years. That keeps it sound.  They are well built but tend to get filty over a 20 year period!  (understandable)Funny - I got mine I went into a record store in Cotati and the guy said it wasn't for sale.  I was a kid then... I said well there must be a price what would you take for it?  He said $500.Came back the next day with $500.  He was shocked!
