One thing I love about OpenCL programming is that every link you find for an OpenCL debugger or profiler goes to an NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel page, which means there's a 100% chance that that link will be broken

@piggo it's not really "fake candidates" per se, but there is a history of this sort of thing happening for judge positions in Cook County, Illinois: https://www.injusticewatch.org/news/2020/sham-candidates-for-judge-an-election-secret-youre-not-supposed-to-know-about/the idea, as I understand it, is to encourage people who might vote for candidate A to vote for candidate A', who has a similar-sounding name but a different party. it sounds ridiculous and illegal, but it works particularly well in judge elections (because there's so many of them) and there appears to be no law against it

@cowanon not necessarily; you need more than one case to make a trend. I will not be first in line, partially for supply reasons, but more importantly because I've built up trust with my primary care doctors and I want them to evaluate the results of both the trials and ongoing emergency-use-authorized vaccinations. If both of those check out, and if I don't read about any adverse events, I have no reason to refuse.

@piggo oh something like this happens to me all the time with the NVIDIA drivers. it's hilariouskernel update involves new kernel module, which usually involves new kernel module version and new OpenGL libraries; the kernel module and OpenGL libraries in use by applications get out of sync, and anything using OpenGL on the desktop (read: everything) breaks. my favorite thing is when the KDE logout screen crashessomehow, my laptop using Intel GPU drivers and Mesa doesn't have this problem
