@wjmaggos @robindlaws I also love sours! Although I love them in moderation, alongside a bunch of other styles. I think I'd give up drinking beer pretty quick if I could only drink sours.

In slot based inventory, what do you reckon a slot weighs on average? About 5lbs / 2kg?

@ericmpaq Interesting! I feel like that might be a bit complex for my purposes (being able to spitball how much a horse vs a llama can carry on its back or what have you) but I do like that idea. I feel like for my game I'd benefit mostly from a number that both makes sense generally, and also is easy to work with.

I'm kind of thinking:A slot roughly equals 5lbsA standard adult is 40 slots (Small Trait subtracts 20, Huge Trait adds 20).An adult horse can carry 60 slots (generous based on reality but this is an adventure game)A llama can carry 20 slots. So an average person with their gear should fit a horse, but only a small person with no gear can ride a llama. A Huge person will need to walk if they want to bring anything, or else buy a llama to carry their stuff.A dog can carry 3 slots, as a treat.

It's the wrong time of day to be asking for #ttrpg #westmarches advice but here goes.My players wander the world. They encounter new NPCs with some regularity and not all of them are hostile, but the world is. It seems like every encounter starts with my NPCs saying some variation of "hold up! I don't want trouble. What bring you out this way?"It starts to get tedious. How do you avoid it?

@futurebird I LOVE flipping back to the map or whatever at the beginning of the book to make sure I'm imagining things as the author intended. It feels immersive and engaging and just plain fun!

@futurebird My old cat was the same!! He only liked sitting on the right shoulder. He was just a big ragdoll you could cart around to your heart's content, but he'd always wiggle his way over to the other shoulder.
