@killyourfm I am fighting with my old Wordpress site. It has been abandoned since 2011 and deserves to be revamped before I start again. I would like to keep the old posts but start over with a new theme. But because I can't find the time to take care of the site, I am also procrastinating my return to writing. When I could take care of it (at night) I don't have the energy to even think about it. I know, it's just lazyness... I'll figure something out sooner or later...

@codewiz let us know how it goes. I'm using #manjaro #gnome on my laptop, but I used #KDE #Plasma in the past. I always found it great out of the box and buggy when changing something from the defaults. I always wondered if it was because of the underlying distro (I was using PopOS that never officially supported Plasma) or because of Plasma itself.

@anathema_device I'm using Linux (#ubuntu #mate) as primary OS on my 11 year old 2011 iMac (which I use for everything), and it works like a charm with the newest apps and the coolest desktop effects ever made (provided by the still awesome #compiz wm and compositor). Everything feels snappy, fast and polished. It really makes you wonder why are people throwing away such capable machines. BTW you can do basically everything you normally do with macos. You just need to learn new apps.

@danirabbit @BrideOfLinux I think the new sideloading mechanism is better than before, but it's still too difficult for the average, non expert user. I would prefere AppCenter to come with some suggested stores preloaded in the app as zorin does.

@thelinuxEXP it's part of the apple customer ideology. You don't pay to have options, because "apple knows better" . You pay for apple to make the best decisions on your behalf. You pay for the best phone, the best laptop, the best apps. And if you believe in this shit, you'll probably end up as a pretty happy and loyal user, embedded in apple's ecosystem. This only works because apple gadgets are fashionable, and people think you're a better person if you show off your iPhone pro in public.

@killyourfm @jonhicks wow, so great to see #thunderbird rise from its ashes. So happy for you guys. The logo is really nice and yes, it underlines TB's roots and brotherhood with #firefox. Great work! Now my only wish is... EXCHANGE support. It's everything I need to use it as a daily driver!

@killyourfm I actually think an autopilot feature could be more useful in a Linux distro. Imagine asking "install Libreoffice" and it just install it without knowing the command line commands or firing up your software manager. Also, imagine asking: "why my damn NVIDIA card doesn't work correctly" and receiving actual proposal to fix things? I think it would be brilliant.

@freemo great! I wonder how it compares with #Waterfox which I'm using in conjunction with #Mate and #Plasma under #Linux (because it actually supports Global Menus, unlike firefox and other derivatives). It also has better privacy presets than #firefox proper.
