Since I intend to keep this space closer to a virtual living room than an office, I won't talk about my day job too much. But I do have to say that working with the @Thunderbird team is a blessing. I'm so honored to be the person responsible for marketing and making content for such an amazing #opensource project. That's all. Life can be good.

@killyourfm The irony of having to use a #Pixel4 to 'escape' with #GrapheneOS is not lost on me, but as an exercise on using *only* open source for OS and apps is more than just a fun exercise.

@mlabowicz I think for now we want to focus on improving our Matrix implementation. I'd never rule it out, but we also want to make sure we stay as lean as possible -- and there are sure to be many wonderful dedicated Mastodon apps landing soon.

@neffscape I miss the Linux stuff too. What I miss most are the conversations with other people in the FOSS/Linux space. Which is why I'm trying to launch the Thundercast ;-)

@killyourfm I could feel that you were not well. I breathed a sigh of relief when you found this opportunity. As said, I just hope you'll get back into Linux at some point. I discovered you with your L4E podcast, and immediately found it fresh and positive. Your approach to the subject is missing :). Switzerland is beautiful, but in this season it is cold, it gets dark early, and life tends toward depression. I would need the sea to compensate...

@killyourfm oh, if you are in need, I am always available for some nerdy discussion about linux and the FOSS world in general. I have often thought about starting to write on the topic again (many years ago I had a fairly successful blog on Linux in Italian...this was before I started working in a hospital, getting married, and having two children). The Thundercast is a good idea...it would be nice if it were co-hosted, ubuntu podcast style (I miss that too!).

@killyourfm I am fighting with my old Wordpress site. It has been abandoned since 2011 and deserves to be revamped before I start again. I would like to keep the old posts but start over with a new theme. But because I can't find the time to take care of the site, I am also procrastinating my return to writing. When I could take care of it (at night) I don't have the energy to even think about it. I know, it's just lazyness... I'll figure something out sooner or later...
