@yogthos Google is so fucking dishonest that it's sick. I am only using them right now until the end of my CCNA course. I HAD to get a google account just so I could use the instructor's preferred method of collaboration.

@yogthos I guess we now live in the post-privacy era because people traded their souls for convenience. Thankfully there are still a few of us out there that value privacy and the wish to be anonymous.

@yogthos I am mostly weaned myself. I think once my piece of shit cheap android dies, I will just go to a feature phone. I'll buy a printer and just print out directions when I need to go someplace.

@yogthos NextCloud is really cool. I am thinking about setting it up myself. The trouble is storage space. It would take an expensive cloud VM .....

@Akio I think it is probably because I've been eating, sleeping, and breathing Cisco for the past 4 weeks and I've only got 5 months left.

@debugninja This is a recurring theme for me. It seems to be one of the symptoms of my Autism. I am sorry your having this issue today. Hopefully this is a rare occurrence.

@ParadeGrotesque @polanco @claudiom That's pretty amazing uptime! How difficult is it to install and get slackware going?

@Shitlord It's really true. Nothing really matters. That's what Zen teaches us. Zen took my fear of death away. When it's my turn to go, I'll be fine with it. We are not meant to live forever. Even the word human has its roots in humus, meaning soil; for that's what we end up eventually becoming.

@Shitlord Now that is interesting! And quite revealing at the same time.

@Shitlord Well if insane is an improvement, then perhaps I am more annoying. 😃

Here's a short write-up on getting WireGuard going on OpenBSD. I borrowed a bit from two sources and credit them with links:https://goblackcat.com/posts/running-wireguard/

Certification exams were dreamed up by pointy-haired, moronic bosses absent of any critical thinking skills whatsoever. They're such chicken shits that they don't have the courage to call it what it is: another profit model. Certification exams DO NOT measure performance. I've met a lot of paper champions that couldn't troubleshoot themselves out of a wet paper bag.

Every now and then I still do something completely boneheaded. I don't know why I had created a bridge to an inactive network interface strictly for KVM guest networking. In other words I have a bridge called br0 which has eth0 as a member. eth0 isn't connected to anything. At the advice of an article, I replaced that with a tap interface and my KVM guest networking performance increased. WIN!
