They were always going to be redacted. There are details that would be dangerous (and illegal) to release. For example you don’t want to dox witnesses who cooperated on the basis of anonymity.

I’m sure it will sell well in Japan. They have some of the craziest toilets I’ve ever seen. Me? I prefer dumb toilets.

I don’t think anyone (certainly not me) is saying that cloud is equivalent to someone’s home desktop. But a computer is far more than just that. The cloud is built on computers of various types so saying it’s someone else’s computer is certainly simplistic but not inaccurate. It is someone else’s infrastructure which is used to run lots of computers. Using the phrase isn’t retarded as was originally stated.

Not really. Most people in the US do not use Obamacare policies, yet alone are dependent on the expiring subsidies. Do they exist? Sure. But it’s not an exception to not be affected by changes in Obamacare subsidies.

We live in a place that gets really cold for a big chunk of the year. Now let’s run our cars that sit and operate outside in that cold on … batteries.🤦🤦🤦Now let’s push everyone on to electric heat because fossil fuels bad. Now let’s generate that electricity with … giant fossil fuel generators. We really love science…we just don’t understand it.

My issue with CNBC (and other similar channels) is that it’s mostly just people talking their book.

It depends on your use case. I wouldn’t bother with it at home since IBM bought them and cracked down on getting more people to pay for source code access. For business applications, it’s a decent standard. If you really want to go down that path, check out Rocky. It’s still very much free. Or look at some other distributions. Just my opinion

This is where OTAs are good. Set up once, no monthly fees so even if you only use it a few times a year it’s ok. And the AFC game kind of sucked, IMO. Neither team played well and the weather was …Colorado in January. One of those games where it’s tough to see the field. But as one who doesn’t pay for cable/satellite TV services…the one time 3-figure cost of an OTA setup is worth it.

TV? Who said you need that? Do you have a screen? That’s all you need. What’s a TV these days anyway? It just a screen with HDMI ports...Nothing special. But you don’t even need a monitor. The antenna runs into a box that streams to any device on your network. There are a ton of them out there. Some can even use your plex server to control it or the box will have an app to do it. I’m using HDHomeRun but there are lots of them out there. If done correctly it should cost 3-figures. Cheap compared to most services in terms of payback. It won’t get you everything. But the big ones tend to be there. But even if you only use it a couple times a year, it still works. The alternative is to buy one month of, say, Sling then cancel. Grab a new email address to get the ”new customer“ discount. I’ve done this as well for stuff like ESPN when my hockey team made it past the first round of the playoffs.
