       I've been busy as of late but even if I wasn't, it is a shame that not only did I not have the streaming services needed to watch the #NFL #AFC and #NFC games this past weekend, but because the roads were all messed up due to the snow, I couldn't go to a bar to watch the games either.It looks like they were great games too, both champs only won by 3 points!https://www.espn.com/nfl/scoreboard/_/week/3/year/2025/seasontype/3#NewEngland #Patriots #Denver #Broncos #LA #LosAngeles #Rams #Seattle #Seahawks

       @BNAdstra I don't really engage in #piracy anymore.

       This is where OTAs are good. Set up once, no monthly fees so even if you only use it a few times a year it’s ok. And the AFC game kind of sucked, IMO. Neither team played well and the weather was …Colorado in January. One of those games where it’s tough to see the field. But as one who doesn’t pay for cable/satellite TV services…the one time 3-figure cost of an OTA setup is worth it.

       @midway @BNAdstra Unfortunately I don't have a TV, and because of my busyness (and the weather) I couldn't go out and buy one either.I'm content with streaming TBH. Most of the sports I watch, I can't get with an antenna.

       @nicholas @BNAdstra 😂 It was fun while it lasted, but my conscience just couldn't take it.

       TV? Who said you need that? Do you have a screen? That’s all you need. What’s a TV these days anyway? It just a screen with HDMI ports...Nothing special. But you don’t even need a monitor. The antenna runs into a box that streams to any device on your network. There are a ton of them out there. Some can even use your plex server to control it or the box will have an app to do it. I’m using HDHomeRun but there are lots of them out there. If done correctly it should cost 3-figures. Cheap compared to most services in terms of payback. It won’t get you everything. But the big ones tend to be there. But even if you only use it a couple times a year, it still works. The alternative is to buy one month of, say, Sling then cancel. Grab a new email address to get the ”new customer“ discount. I’ve done this as well for stuff like ESPN when my hockey team made it past the first round of the playoffs.

       @midway @BNAdstra >TV?Dangit I meant TV lol>The alternative is to buy one month of, say, Sling then cancel.You know, #SlingTV has day passes. Not sure if they have both #FOX and #CBS in my market, but this would have been worth considering, in hindsight.
