@jcarnat In my case, I always use it, then tend to edit the size of some partitions depending on the use of the machine.

@cathal it reminds me a lot about #plan9 #acme or #planB without the network / virtual filesystem stuff. It's based on lua and the love game engine, which is a crazy interesting use of a game engine. I wonder if copy / paste works ?

@cathal good to know ! I want to try and run it on #OpenBSD, but there seems to be no #luarocks package, so I'll have to see if I can build that first.

I find myself looking for a window manager that presents an infinitely large desktop in which all windows / tabs are layed out as a graph of what window came from what window. This system would also allow the user to manually add an edge to two nodes (windows). There would be an easy way to zoom in on a group of related windows and following the edges to related activities.I think #Oberon might of had that zooming desktop arrangement, but I'm not aware of any graphed window manager.

@dch bspwm, herbstwm, patched dwm all have those same possibilities. But how do you represent related children of different trees ? The #Genode letzeinrale is probably the closest thing to what I'm imagining, it manages the trust graph between components. I wonder if they have any plans for making it handle windows as well as the capabilities between components.I dont even know if XCB can represent a desktop zooming in and out. (not inside the windows, but outside)

@dch turns out there is an actual term for the zooming I'm thinking of: #ZUI https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zooming_user_interface

I'm experimenting with #water types for #baking. I've split my starter in two and I've been using bottled water for one and tap water for the other.

@lanodan @Meeper @jbauer haha wow. With the shrinking difference between browser and operating system, I wonder if the better idea is not too simply have a way to separate the protocol browser from the viewer. Something like in plan9, where there are virtual filesystems for http / https and cookies which can be manipulated from the filesystem. The actual browser implementations only knows how to manipulate the file system the right way and how to display html / css.

@lanodan @Meeper @jbauer I'm not finding any research or hobby projects on browser unikernels. The closest example I could find was how genode or qubeos do it (they litteraly virtualize a linux vm running a web browser)Maybe netsurf or servo could serve as a starting point.

The #ExperimentalFarmNetwork is a super inspiring project. They collect rare or endangered seeds and use a network of volunteers to create more seed and help propagate the plants. They also drive amateur plant breeding projects to improve #food crops that are not usefull to industrial #agriculture such as perenial celery, kale and onions. It's #CitizenScience !https://www.experimentalfarmnetwork.org/

I just learned on #SciFri that #canada ordered 5 times as much of the various vaccines as we need to vaccinate our entire population. (The USA ordered 3x and the UK 2x)Why so much ? Isnt that just going to make it harder for third world nations to get any ?
