Gonna start over with a new #introduction. In my last one I claimed to be a "self-taught developer," which is unfair to too many folks in my sphere.I work in .NET, but on my off hours I'm into Linux/open-source tinkering. I have a deep passion for self-hosting, the FOSS desktop experience, solidarity among developers, and generally putting the human first in tech, both user and developer.I've learned from the best and strive to continue learning and share knowledge and skill where I can.

@urusan I have experienced what feels like unconditional love, but my inner cynic suspects that that's simply because, amongst those folks, I was or have been of sufficient caliber such as to meet their conditions implicitly and thus never need to learn about them.

@urusan The trick is to find one that you can sync to your opinions, rather than the other way around. At their worst, they mess with your ability to comfortably read your code. At their best, they're just accelerating your workflow by automating your preferences.

@Curator Really excited to hear that you've been able to find such an enthusiastic following for your work in the fediverse. One could argue that it goes to show how much more meaningful the "discovery" component of social networking is to folks when you place the responsibility for it in their own hands (as opposed to e.g. driving it via analytics).
