A brief recap on search engines:- Google has accurate results, it's really fast, but it tracks you very effectively- DuckDuckGo has decent results, while not always accurate (I'd say it gets the answer 60% of the time). It doesn't track you, but it's a bit slower.- Startpage has "Google" results, but it's reeeeally slow, 3 or more seconds to get an answer!- Ecosia is Bing and lets Bing track you- Bing/Yahoo/ are not good enough on both privacy and resultsSo, which one should I use?

Oh and of course, searX just doesn't work 70% of the time. I don't understand how people can use it, maybe it's just me being unlucky?

@be Yeah, they definitely seem to be behind the times.I would love to see a more modern FSF, with a proper way to communicate and express their message.

@kzimmermann I did it ~a month ago and I am really happy now. Nothing scary happened so far. Parents just call me or they message me on Telegram.

@joeligj12 I usually take my time and compile those forms. I even send an e-mail to their support, if necessary. Deletion of shitty services is worth it XD

@metalune browsing the web is indeed more comfortable with the proper graphics rather than on the CLI.That's the only thing I prefer to use a mouse for.

@metalune Yes, it also has automatic night-mode when I switch to Adwaita Dark on my GTK applications (on the browser I must use Dark Reader)

@metalune Oh, of course! I was just complaining about Google tracking you regardless of you using their service, which is immoral. They can do whatever they want on their services while complying with the law. People using their services must know it, and not complain for that.
