@DarckCrystale @alice I'm not familiar with ACCRE, and couldn't find a quick english summary, so I phrased it non-judgementally :). If it's not actually self employment as a tax dodge, all's well.Your general critique of tax is indistinguishable from actual evaders though, and I'd hope that those of us who have suffered the greatest privations in life would be its greatest defenders

@fitheach @sajith last year's resolution was to make all my own bread. I got to February before I realised my bread intake had more than doubled due to deliciousness. This year it's tai chi. Much healthier

@fitheach whatever I can get, really :D. The local bakery does excellent sourdough so I still succumb regularly. The croft I volunteer at is shut down for winter so I'm mostly back to supermarket veg and local meat. @sajith

I quite like the look of @Liberapay, but the steady-state contributions graph makes me a little sad: https://liberapay.com/about/statsAre there ongoing efforts to increase uptake?

Starting the day at work, sat down in front of the desk and stretched out. Felt something soft and squishy underfoot.Assumed cat sick, got frog. A pleasant surprise!

@fitheach just in time - I've got another batch of beetroot to do... something with.Does the fermentation get rid of the earthiness, or do you simply overpower it with garlic?

@fitheach aha, probably not a recipe for me then. I really hate the taste of beetroot, so only do recipes where that has vanished :D :D :DWe've got beetroot ketchup at the moment, it's not terrible.
