       Vindication. I’ve said for years that I didn’t trust #Telegram, and that I thought the Russian Government had compromised it. Frankly, I don’t know how anyone could trust any software produced by a company located in #Russia, or with strong historical ties to Russia and/or their government.        When did Mastodon start to support quote posts? Or is this a thing some 3rd party clients are adding on their own? Just saw a toot where someone had linked to another toot, and that other toot was included by Ice Cubes as an embed.I feel like this is going to annoy a lot of people, who were glad to leave quote posts behind on the birdsite.

       A shout out to all the other people in Queensland with insecure casual teaching work in tertiary education, who are currently using our Labour Day public holiday as an opportunity to do assignment and exam marking, even though our timesheets will say we did it on any other day so that we're denied any public holiday loading, just because there's no other way to fit it into the week otherwise.
