       Vindication. I’ve said for years that I didn’t trust #Telegram, and that I thought the Russian Government had compromised it. Frankly, I don’t know how anyone could trust any software produced by a company located in #Russia, or with strong historical ties to Russia and/or their government.        @liampomfret You and/or the linked @wired “journalist” could have researched a bit.The founders of telegram fled Russia in 2014, after having had to hand over their “VK” network (a successful Facebook like social network).Telegram is situated in virgins islands & operates from Dubai.Telegram does not encrypt messages per default…you have to create “secure chats”. All other communication is plain text.But hey - of course, as Russians, they are all evil per se, right?🤮

       @liampomfretI guess you know that Australia was part of PRISM by NSA as revealed by Edward Snowden, right?And do you know which country gives him asylum? Russia… otherwise he would end up like Julian Assange for revealing war crimes in Iraq and stuff like that… ah and Assange is Australian…But the problem is Russia (and Telegram has never been located there anyway)…
