Norway, then Denmark, then now the US once more. In a week.Extremes flourishing everywhere, violent rhetoric, nationalism, people increasingly disconnected from reality, the news (in some cases, all the news, in other, the ones they don't like to read), their own and past times. From any sort of critical thinking, science, History, you name it. It's the “you're with me 100% or become my biggest enemy” all the time.I don't think all this is going to end up well.

@jordan31 Patriotism is about loving you country, yes, which also means recognizing what's being done wrong in it, and changing it. The same way sometimes it is said that the difference between the beginner and the expert is that the latter would take anything that makes their work better, as opposed to the former, who thinks they already know it all hence need no advice.Nationalism is about blindly thinking one's country is right no matter what, about being the beginner.

@kev I agree that kind of posts are disgusting, but certain people is worth the follow and probably the best way to keep informed in a variety of things, so in a way I still like Twitter. Nothing to do with Mastodon itself though, more with the number of users each of them have.
