good "never again" praxis is stopping Holocausts before they happen, when the warning signs are clear, as in the present-day U.S..or even stopping things like the Holodomor or Japanese Internment before they happen, that's important as well. the Japanese Internment could have become like the Holocaust; there was nothing in the way that Americans responded to it that would have prevented that from happening here. but it's extremely important to know what the Holocaust was, to not be ignorant about this and act like Holocausts are normal everyday things that happen all the time but that "Jewish privilege" means that people only care about the Holocaust, as Nazis and some "leftists" argue.

there's a difference between the praxis of preventing a Holocaust before it happens vs. simple Holocaust erasure that aims to diminish what actually happened under Hitlere.g. Hitler was in power for *less than 10 years* and killed 11 million people through deliberate, systematic, targeted extermination, many many more through war

the Holocaust was people being marched to death, people being fed virtually nothing and compelled to work until they died, people being gassed, and their own family members being forced to gas them and carry them to the crematorium to burn them, babies being pulled out of their mother's arms and thrown into fire alive in front of them, and much more

we need to walk a very careful line between saying "never again means stopping this right now, avoiding the tendencies that could lead to what happened" vs. saying "everything bad is the Holocaust but people only care about the Jews", the latter of which verges on denial and is absolutely minimization
