Tying it to the Mastodon verification feature is an excellent move.A little suggestion: the website just states "I verify that their accounts are genuine".Could you make a more specific assertion of what that statement means, to you? At the moment, I could think of all, or some of the following:Verified there is a person that looks like the avatarVerified that the person lives in GazaVerified that the persons mentioned in their fundraiser stories existVerified that the facts in the fundraiser stories are correct. (This is just an example. I believe that verification may easily transgress into the territory of humiliation, when taken to far.)So what does "Gaza Verified" specifically mean, from your perspective?

@futurebird While humans tend to sort according to "content" or "meaning", I'd maintain exactly as many stacks as I have nails in the wall, and to have similarly-sized art on every individual stack.Every piece of art needs a corresponding, free space to "breathe", which is why I find it is nicer to maintain size-based stacks. It may also suggest which sizes you have neglected, so far…On the other hand, it might be fun to have tiny and giant pieces rotate in one spot, over time.

@aral When international law is dumped in favor of the law of the jungle, it also damages organizations whose work depends on the validity and enforcement of international law.It pulls the rug out from under them and makes it clear that illegal violence is considered superior, and that an end justifies all means.In other words, establishing the law of the jungle is a program that promotes terrorism. Civilians will pay the price for the decline of said organizations, and the rise of groups that once again believe terror is the only way.Ironically, many of these civilians will wonder where all the "radicalization" will "suddenly" have come from. And they'll participate in denouncing those who understand what terrorism feeds on as sympathizers of terrorism.

@aral Hi Aral, this doesn't even remotely makes sense, especially since it originates from the very same account that got verified, and is in full control of the fundraiser links in their bio.It's also very strange that whoever wrote this was so interested in promoting an "alternative" fundraiser, but didn't even bother to simply replace the link to the existing one. 🤷I'm pretty sure that account got hacked and we're probably not reading anything written by the real Nabil that you got to know in your video calls.
