@eriner nice. It will patina and look so classic. I dig that style. And I dig things built and designed to last longer than the maker. I tip my hat to you.

@PNS ya. It’s very possible she had a rich daddy that didn’t put up with her shit, but also helped to create the monster that she is. Regardless she wants communism because she wants to be in the controlling class.

@Metalglasses @PNS they want consequences. It’s like fighting with your sister who always knows how to cry and get mom (the media) on her side and she revels in the checkmate she believes she has on you.

@Henhouse_Cockerel @PNS I think she’s just divulging in any emotional reaction that she senses will give her leverage to boost her moral pride and ego. It’s not done with thought and she wouldn’t dare invite any logic into her brain because it might give others too much credit.

@PNS @Henhouse_Cockerel Yes. Absolutely. She’s acting like she’s going to starve if someone doesn’t let her have that cookie.

@PNS @Henhouse_Cockerel Well I have learned that that depends on how they were raised. If they were raised to be receptive to men calling out their shit, then they might listen, otherwise you’re just an asshole and you never listen.

@PNS these are the kind of people that prevent wise people from volunteering for public functions.

@Dan_Ramos I would only support a temporary restriction for a few years so that people have a chance to wise up and during that time, reduce the subsidies on corn year by year until they are completely gone. Then go back to free markets.

@PNS he’s going to end up lowering real estate prices by lowering the economy and the demand to live in New York which might actually seem good but that will lower tax revenue while he increases spending. He’s putting New York further into finger cuffs where the harder they pull to get out of the problem the tighter the problem gets.

@PNS She’s going to hit that wall very hard and it’s going to be very ugly, like a starving angry coyote that has been stuck in a trap for days and has lost its mind. And ya, that guy will happily fuck all the way off long before that. She’s made a deal with the devil and he will not give up her soul easily. She’s very screwed.

@chromeratt @zephyrotv they also have the biggest solar farms. It’s all show for them too because they still get most of their power from coal and they are still building coal plants. It’s like a coke dealer that sniffs up a bunch of powdered sugar and says “that’s good shit” and then lets other people try the real shit so they get hooked and want to buy it.

@tj none of the above. Wife hates jello because she associates it with her mother’s extended family who she isn’t too fond of. I, however, have always liked jello as long as it isn’t chewy. When it’s chewy, it’s perhaps the worst thing ever.

The movie Strange Days was a precursor. Have we really made it through the y2k bug or are we still experiencing it?

@ParkerTechGuy @CattleBaron So the charger in the unit works with lithium batteries? I thought they require different voltage regulation from the charger and the charger has to be designed to detect and adapt to lithium.

@ParkerTechGuy @CattleBaron interesting. Ya the only advantage I see with lead batteries is the surge of amps they can handle but not amp hours because of the whole thing about getting damage if brought below 50%, which is what happens in a ups almost every time there is a power outage that isn’t just a short power hiccup. I’m very curious. Definitely diving into this more next time I have a unit that needs a replacement battery. Thanks for sharing.

@Jagahati the only time I explain the details is when it is important for the decision makers to know the pros and cons so they don’t come back to me and say “you told us you could handle it” when they finally understand the con. If you work in an environment where people share details just so they can flex, I suggest quitting. If you are that person, I suggest doing some soul searching and knock that shit off.

@Jagahati ya. I understand. I just have seen this bite people in the ass. I have seen people get upset about getting too many details and then turn around and get upset because “why don’t you just do it this way? Why is this so complicated?!”Or something has trade offs and you want them to know them so they don’t believe something is simply “taken care of”. But anyone in the tech industry has seen technical people get into the weeds. I get it. You can go too far either way. It’s an art.
