The common mistake about Notion or #obsidian -> PKM is not to set up an "ALL IN ONE" productivity system. The main goal of having PKMS is to store your notes and use them for generating new ideas and synthesizing your thoughts.#notes #pkm #notion

@anders What is the edge over Obsidian? I haven't used #tana at all so wonder what are the advantages if I switched over to it.

@anders Sounds like it fits better into your workflow! That's nice. I feel like everyone has different preferences for #pkm and that's good.

@dropcase @carl @anders Interesting to see. Still, I feel like I understand any notes better by connecting notes manually.

@anders templates are one of my favorite with metadata, making it so much easier to take notes and maintain

Niklas Luhmaan said “read with an eye towards possible connections”. That’s all we need to organically grow our #pkm vault and never run out of new ideas for #writing

What is your naming convention for your notes?I’ve used <domain> - unique title. Yet, I realized lately that notes become more and more interdisciplinary and this is not working anymore. Any suggestion?#pkm #obsidan #writing

@anders Yes, I found descriptive names better especially when I visit notes in farther future. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

@anders Do that. Many smart people in this realm use their primary languages so I can’t fully understand what they talk. I wish more great articles are written and shared in English!

My #pkm folks (either #obsidian or #emacs), how do you deal with quotes? I recently found a lot of quotes I want to save. My preference is to keep one quote per note, but I’m not sure what is the best way to name a note and store for better search later. Any tips?
