       Please vote. Please also check the endorsements of local candidates, it’s a good way to figure out who has democracy’s interest at heart and who does not when looking at “nonpartisan” positions

       @BlackAzizAnansi 9/11 was what did it for me.  I was in middle school.  Seeing people that I had respected attacking the local muslim community was a jarring introduction to how quickly racism/xenophobia and fascism can take hold.

       @DecaturNature there was very open Islamophobia in the US in September 2001. Rumors spread about local families, exchange students received threats. My local community revealed that the people within it were more than willing to cast facts and reason aside to follow a fascist narrative.

       @straphanger perhaps the photo isn’t a typical setup, but does this create a much higher risk for bike theft? How are the bikes secured if they use a street parking space?

       @stux I remember seeing this story when the plane first crashed. It was extremely obvious at the time that it was intentionally crashed to make the video, since he had cameras mounted everywhere on the plane. Some people should be HEAVILY taxed so this doesn’t happen
