@realcaseyrollins It's obvious to me that Grok (and other AI's) that are on the socials are meant to provide "truths" in much the same way Wikipedia has been used for awhile. At what point Musk envisioned a Grokipedia I wouldn't know. Like him or not, he uses more than 2 brain cells when he thinks so it could easily have been a year or more ago.

@LoriQuaid I'd warn him not to take that shit. It wont save your life anyway, just has some percentage chance of extending it but at a cost. The last fancy super expensive chemo drug they gave me sent me to the hospital with a stroke. So I might not be able to walk, talk, or think but I have a greater chance to live an extra 2 years?.. no thanks.

@Killer_Mule I'm sure the penny has always cost more than a penny to make, that's kinda the point. There aren't single use items, they're minted once and get used over and over for _years_.They're perceived to be worthless to buy anything with though, due to inflation, so people will go along with this elimination.I'll start collected them 🤠

@nom @Killer_Mule Well you're exactly correct in that the money is worthless so no one cares about the penny. So not only are they costing more to make than they are worth but no one is actually transacting with them anymore.I have a stash off wheat-stalks and several jugs of pennies I now need to sort out the pre '82 ones.We used to still see buffalo head nickles in circulation when I was a kid.
