Apparently 1 in 8 "Americans" receive SNAP bene's. I don't even personally know anyone receiving them, and I don't although I probably would qualify.

@harvhat man, as a single divorced dad w/kids I've been DOWN, on the verge of losing my home etc and it never even occurred to me to become dependent on the government. I just hustled harder, sold plasma, learned to improve cheap meals and sacrificed stuff for myself so that it didn't impact my kids.That was pretty stupid and prideful of me, considering how well it appears the SNAP fatties are eating, but I made it through I guess.
